Workshops

The following list contains breakout sessions which may be offered at Best Life Ministries Events. Workshops are 45 minutes to a hour in length, and are offered in both the morning and afternoon sessions. As you can see, the workshop options reflect a variety of issues that impact women of all ages. When you host a Best Life Ministries Event at your church, you may choose to offer any of the following workshop topics:

Spirituality:  Balancing a Woman’s Life in Today’s World

Pastor Kim Rudd

Kim is the Spiritual Growth Pastor at Cornerstone Church in Crystal, MN, and brings poignant direction from God’s Word on how to balance  the busyness of  your life.

Parenting:  10 Essentials for Raising Great Kids

Lynn & Aimee Zook 

Join Lynn Zook, a mom of seven children ranging from ages 9 to 27, and her daughter, Aimee Zook, a college student, as they co-teach this break out session. Lynn and Aimee have a  passion to encourage moms to develop healthy children, inspiring them to have purpose, value and direction. Together, they’ll share from their top 10 principles that have helped each of them in their own path of parenting.

Gary & Susie Esboldt

Gary, Associate Pastor at First Baptist in Willmar, MN, joins with his wife, Susie, to deliver an encouraging and challenging outlook on strengthening your marriage.  In this breakout session, Gary and Susie inspire you to work diligently to protect and cultivate God’s desire for us…a strong and healthy marriage.

Health:  Easy Steps to Good Health and Fitness

Dr. Deb Peterson

Dr. Debra Peterson, a practicing physician from Litchfield, MN, delivers a motivating class with simple steps to ensure general health and fitness.   Dr. Deb’s greatest desire for women is complete wellness in all facets of their lives…physical, emotional, and spiritual.

Finances:  Money Matters

Valerie McKay  

With a B.A. in Business Administration and Finance, Val serves as a licensed Residential Loan Officer, and brings financial expertise to her workshops.  In this class, join Val as she encourages you to get back to the simple basics of understanding money, and help you determine why the way you look at money really does matter.

Addictions:  Leaving Behind a Life of Addiction

Kathleen Sogge

Kathleen Sogge, a  director of women’s ministries over the past thirteen years, knows that in today’s busy schedules, depression can set in, and that can lead to addiction.  In this workshop, Kathleen shares her journey, along with insights on leaving behind the baggage of a defeated lifestyle and breaking free to a healthier walk.

Spirituality:  Creating a Quiet Time With God

Tiffany Felty

Teaching women’s ministry Bible studies, Tiffany has diligently worked on mastering the lifestyle of developing a healthy quiet time with God each day.  Join her as she gives simple steps on how to make your time with God effective through prayer and Bible study.  Tiffany’s passion is helping women get excited about God’s Word.

Healing:  Leaving Behind a Life of Abuse

Mary Michener

Author of the book Cleaning House, Mary earned her doctorate in Youth & Family Education, and has walked out of a victim mentality that began in childhood with abuse, to now help other women seek help, hope and healing from the Savior, Jesus.

LifeStyle:  Choosing Joy!

Mary Michener

Choosing to live a life based in joy is more than just a check list and is deeper than a frame of mind.  Join Mary as she encourages you to understand the power of walking in a joy-filled spirit.

LifeStyle:  A Pure Path!

Kaylie Schmidt

Join Kaylie in this workshop as she addresses young girls about how to walk a pure path with choosing the right friends, developing a meaningful relationship with Jesus, and devoting time for prayer and church.  She will share her journey as it led to pregnancy at age 18.

Lifestyle:  A Study of the Book of Esther

Kandy Stevens

Join Kandy in this moving study of the book of Esther, as she parallels the characters from the book with a woman’s day-to-day life, and looks at lessons we can learn from Esther’s journey, as we hold true to our values in today’s world.
