Dr. Scott Abrams

Dr. Scott Abrams is a family practice physician, who also happens to be a recovering drug addict. His story is one of self-destructive behavior, faith, and recovery.

Though he currently works as an Urgent Care physician, he left his Emergency Room position in 2014, due to his addiction to pain medications.

Through the disaster of his addiction, Scott came to ask profound questions about his faith and his destructive flesh nature. Why do I still struggle if I’m a Christian? Can Christians be addicts? Where does God’s transforming work meet my effort?

Now living in recovery, you can find Scott’s daily blog on faith, addiction and recovery as he blogs his experiences at theseedsofthespirit.com.
